How ready is your team's work for AI?

Twelve questions about how one team's work actually moves. You get a named state for the team and a read on five things, built only from your answers. There is no grade, no percentile, and nobody to compare you with.

12 questions, about four minutes. 2 teams today.

Five things the questions read.

Every team gets the same five reads, asked in its own words. Each one comes from two questions.

  1. 01

    Capture

Whether the work is written down anywhere a system could read it.

From the sales assessmentAfter a discovery call, where does what was said end up?

  2. 02

    Handoff

Where the work stops moving and waits on somebody to notice.

From the sales assessmentA warm reply lands on a Tuesday afternoon. What happens to it?

  3. 03

    Judgment

What still needs a person, and whether that line is written down.

From the sales assessmentBefore a message reaches a prospect, who signs it off?

  4. 04

    Measurement

Whether you know your own numbers without building them by hand.

From the sales assessmentHow does the Monday pipeline number get built?

  5. 05

    Tooling

What your systems can reach before someone retypes it.

From the sales assessmentCan one system read your CRM, your inbox and your call recordings?

Four named states for each team.

A state says where the team's system is today. It is never a standing against anyone.

Sales

  1. 1The desk runs on memoryA build is not the next move here.
  2. 2Written down, moved by handThe record exists. People still move every piece of it.
  3. 3Parts of the motion run themselvesThe gaps are specific now, not general.
  4. 4The motion runs, a rep holds the gateYou are ready for a build, not a cleanup.

Customer support

  1. 1The queue runs on your senior repsThere is nothing here yet for a system to stand on.
  2. 2The answers exist, reps still hunt for themYour queue is doing the same work twice.
  3. 3The queue sorts itself, replies are still hand-builtThe break sits in one part of the ticket.
  4. 4The queue works itself, a rep approves what shipsReady to hand a whole ticket type over.

What it will not do.

Four rules the questions are held to.

  • It does not grade you. You get a named state and five bars. Each bar is your own answers on that one thing.
  • It does not compare you. No percentile and no peer benchmark. Nobody else's numbers are in your read.
  • It does not hold the result back. The read is on the page when you finish. A written plan is a second step, and you can leave without it.
  • It tells you when not to buy. If your answers say a build would not clear our own bar for your money, the read says so and sends you to the field notes, not to a sales call.

The page ends on a hand drawn chart of the sky that draws itself as it comes into view, with a small sail ship crossing its open sky from a far star to a beacon and a small planet.
